Important news about our Patron

27th August 1945 – 20th December 2016
It is with immense thanks and great sadness that we announce that our Patron, HM The Queen, is stepping down as Patron of the Children’s Fund at the end of this, her 90th birthday year. HM The Queen became our Patron when she was a Princess in 1945 and we are so grateful for the years of support she has given us. We will be writing to her on behalf of all our beneficiaries to thank her and send her our very best wishes.
We are delighted that we can announce that our new Royal Patron will be HRH Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. With his distinguished career in the Royal Navy as a Commander and now the honorary rank of Vice Admiral he is uniquely placed within the Royal Family to understand the pressures faced by our serving men and women both in and post service, and their children that we support. We look forward to welcoming him in the New Year.
